Baramulla: Police in north Kashmir on Thursday claimed to have solved Langate grenade attack case and arrested three militant associates in this regard.
As per police statement issued to Kashmir Despatch said, During the investigation of the case of Grenade attack on CRPF Camp Langate , in the morning of 27 Aug 2021, on the basis of reliable input from JKP, Handwara a joint CASO was launched by parties including 30 RR & SOG, Handwara in the morning of 27 Aug 2021 and during detailed search of houses, one OGW namely Ishfaq Ah Dar S/o Wali Mohd Dar Shatpora Mohalla, Langate was apprehended.
On his disclosure the Joint CASO team recovered Arms and Ammunition from his possession. On further interrogation involvement of 02 more OGWs namely Jamsheed Ah Shah S/o Sunallaha Shah Chak Mohalla, Langate and Javed Ah Khan S/o Late Farooq Ah Khan R/o Asthan Mohalla, Langate came forth and they were also apprehended along with Arms and ammunition.
During detailed interrogation, it was revealed that all three OGWs were associated with LeT Tanzeem and were involved in supporting the terrorist activities and accepted their involvement into the Grenade Attack Incident at Langate on 16 Aug 2021.
All three OGWs have been booked under IPC Section 307 and Explosive Substances Act Section 3/4 of FIR No 260/2021 dated 16 Aug 2021 of PS Handwara.
