Poonch:In continuation to J&K police war on Drugs offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances,
Mendhar police arrested one drug peddler from Madhya Pradesh namely Kamlesh Kumar S/O Sone Lal Choudhary R/O village Suthauli,Madhya pradesh and recovered 1.9 kg of Ganja like substance from them.
The team lead by Psi Prince Jasrotia and Sho mendhar Insp.Manzoor Kohli intercepted a person and recovered the narcotics from him .On this a case FIR No. 46/2022 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act registered at PS Mendhar and investigation started.
The Recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO Mendhar Dysp Sheezan Bhat (JKPS) with the overall supervision of ASP Poonch Sh Mushim Ahmed (JKPS).
Public of the area appreciated the role of District Police Poonch who launch a war to eradicate the menace of drugs and narcotics in distt. poonch which is spoiling the life of young generation.
District police Poonch are taking every possible Measure to take legal action against those involved in selling of Narcotic substance and people of Poonch district are requested to come forward and report illegal sale of narcotic substances for strict action against the persons involved.
