24th SKILL DEVELOPMENT CENTER OF KUPWARA INAUGURATED IN ZARHAMA VILLAGE

8 April 2021: In a commendable feat, the Jan Shikshan Sansthan under Dr Md Iqbal Nazar in coordination with Indian Army inaugurated 24th skill center of Kupwara District, with recent Cutting and Tailoring Skill Center in Zarhama B village. The effort has been to reach out to remotest villages and empower the youth, especially women .
The Cutting and Tailoring Course will run for 6 months and will skill 20 women from the area with a certification from Skill India Mission which will further empower them for self employment.
While inaugurating the center Zarhama Company Commander congratulated the Awam and students for getting such an opportunity in their villages and urged them to exploit it to the fullest. Dr Iqbal, Director, JSS, elaborated on the contours of the course, future prospects in detail and motivated the instructor and students to follow a disciplined curriculum to make the best out of the courses.
The elected representatives, village elders and parents promised in unison that they would ensure accountability and effective functioning of the center. BDC, Sarpanch and Panch of Zarhama on behalf of the Awam thanked the JSS and Army for their concern in development of the area.
