Indian Army has been at the forefront of promoting physical, mental & spiritual fitness. It has recognised the value of yoga for healthy lifestyle & well-being which is much relevant in the present times when the country is recovering from the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.
On the occasion of International Yoga Day on 21 June 21, in order to increase the awareness on positive impact of yoga on body, mind & spirit and promote well-being, Krishna Ghati Brigade organised Yoga Camp for Awaam at various locations. All units had selected one village each in their area and organised interactive Yoga Camp which included lecture on importance of Yoga followed by yoga session. A large number of local residents of all age group attended the Yoga Camp and got benefitted.
Yoga & meditation have been proved to improve both physical & mental health in school age children. It improves balance, strength and endurance along with focus, memory, self-esteem & academic performance. To inculcate the habit of healthy living at early age by learning & practising yoga, Fun Yoga Camp was organised for the school children of Baba Garib Das Academy, Salotri, Poonch wherein children learnt yoga while having fun. Staying healthy is the first requisite of happiness and yoga helps in bringing harmony to the body, mind & spirit.
