Srinagar : Renowned Accredited Journalist and Rising Kashmir Correspondent Nisar-ul-Haq Ellahi has been elected as President of the Pulwama Journalists Federation on Monday.
PJF which has 24 working journalist as members, held its maiden elections to choose various office bearers.
Besides Nisar ul Haq, Jhangeer Ganai was nominated as Vice President , Mudasir Maqbool General Secretary, Syed Aadil spokesperson and Mir Zeeshan as treasurer of the Federation.
After Elections a Meeting was Chaired by President and said, Journalists in Kashmir work in a very challenging environment and these challenges can be face by supporting and coordinating with each other,”
He suggested among members about the unity and role of the association for the overall welfare of journalists.
Senior Journalist Gazi Khursheed told on the occasion need of the hour is to highlight the public grievances and raise every issue which are concerned about the general public, adding that there is no space fake Journos who are maligning the image of media.
