Back to infiltration themes but it would not be easy henceforth!
‘It was not something that was not expected. Over and over again through these very columns we have been saying that expect the unexpected from the neighbour across the LOC. A couple of weeks back they were flying drones over our security installations, the happening inside Pakistan do suggest that the country is not at ease with itself and now this infiltration attempt and the fire fight on the Line of Control. Though the things did not escalate as they used to before February 25 yet the fact is that it cannot be possible that the Pak army deployed in this eyeball to eyeball faceoff would not be knowing what the band of these evil minded men were trying to do. Obviously they were trying to infiltrate to carry out some dirty and ugly job!
It was not that something new was happening. It has happened before also but the difference between now and then is that the Indian troops will not allow the terrorists trying to make an invasion into the Indian territory. After some relative peace and calm this was a major breach of the cease fire trust as the LOC rattled with fire fighting taking place between the infiltrating terrorists and the India troops. It should not have happened but given the unpredictability of Pakistan this was not a surprise. Just last week an information was in the air that terrorists were planning something big, possibly a terror attack. Maybe the information was true.
It was a known fact that there was plenty of activity going on the other side of the LOC in the Pak hinterland where Pak trained militants had parked themselves and were waiting to do something. With the ceasefire continuing they did not make a move. But since they were there it also meant that they were not sitting idle and the Pak commanders did not want them to move away, clearly signifying that Pakistan had all the plans to use them at some stage or the other. Men who carry the tag of terror are unpredictable, they never know where they are going until they get there, they are so random, they are always growing, learning, changing, they are never the same person twice. But one thing you can be sure of them is they will always do exactly what they want to do. Today they had decided to infiltrate but they could not have because they had to bump into a wall.
But do they not deserve our attention, those armies of small-minded and low-graded people, drifting on the waves of their unawareness or misfortune, suffocating in their caves of bewilderment and fading into oblivion? They know that they are heading nowhere, even their mentors in ISI and Pakistan Army know that they are not going to make any headway but why do they opt for this ridiculous option? They know that Imminent counteractions will unchain their unleashed avalanche of spreading terror and they also know that sooner or later they are going to kick the bucket like so many others have done before them, yet they opt for it? For whose fight are they perishing? For whose salvation are they giving their lives? If nothing has happened so far then it is a conclusive argument that nothing ever will. This is nothing but an adventure with misfortune and surefire death written all over. But they still want to carry on, an amazing choice indeed for self destruction!
Occurrences can be unpredictable. If we have to endure a cascade of rumpling coincidences at the wrong time and at the wrong place then the LOC presents an ideal scenario. Yet again it did today as a militant group tried to infiltrate but could not as the Indian troops jerked them out of their ambitious plans of getting into the Indian territory in Naushera sector of Rajouri. This was what happened:
Army foiled an infiltration bid by killing a militant along the Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Rajouri.
In the early hours of July 7, a group of Pakistani (militants) made an attempt to infiltrate across the Line of Control.
Alert Army troops thwarted the infiltration bid by suitably employing an integrated surveillance grid along with domination by fire, and engaging the (militants) in a fierce firefight in which one (militant) was neutralized and his body was recovered
War like stores including an AK 47 rifle, four magazines with ammunition and two hand grenades were also recovered from the militant.
In the fire fight two troops were injured
This action by alert Army troops displays the resolve of the Army to thwart any misadventure on the Line of Control.
I mentioned it before also that this was not a surprise by many means because it was expected. Pakistan would not have remained on a mute mode for long because these serpents are from their snake parks they have manufactured themselves and also reared up these venom spitting snakes. It has been done with only one aim and that is to hurt India. For the last few months they have been sitting idle but the question was till how long? They made their presence felt but could make no headway. They could not have. But more such bids can be expected in days to come although Pakistan will stick with the ceasefire for the time being.
There are several terrorist camps in POK and it’s a known fact. The military and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) sympathize with and aid terrorists, ISI has provided covert but well-documented support to terrorist groups active in Kashmir, They are hibernating and will try to come in as they did today. All that can be said that at the moment on the other side of the LOC the feeling is wild and sort of unpredictable, like an ill mannered stillness but with plenty of rumblings that cannot be heard!
