Rajouri : Continuing series of efforts for arrest of absconders, police in Thanamandi sub division of Rajouri district arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest.
This is second arrest of absconders in the police station in last two days.
Police said that an absconder namely Mohd Naseem son of Mohd Bashir resident of Saaj was an accused in case FIR 84/2014 U/S 498-A RPC and was absconding since 2014.
A general warrant of arrest u/s 512 CrPC was issued against him by JMIC Thanamandi.
A police team from Thanamandi police station headed by SHO Thanamandi Shokat Amin arrested the accused produced in the court of law.
SSP Rajouri Mohammad Aslam said that police is trying level best to nab the absconders who are wanted in cases but are evading arrests.
He said that many absconders have been arrested in recent past in the district.
