Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) on Wednesday held a meeting of its workers at SK Bala. The meeting was presided over by the party’s Vice President Usman Majid . Among others who were present in the meeting include Senior Party Leader Imtiyaz Ahmed Parry, Noor Mohammad Bhat, DDC Hajin A Naza Begum, Vice President MC Hajin Waseem Ahmad Parry and other party workers.
Addressing the workers, Usman Majid said people should introspect to understand the emotional politics and setting unattainable goals that have brought only miseries and deaths to them. He said, “For years and decades, the politics of traditional political parties remained dominant by the deceptive narratives around plebiscite, autonomy, self-rule and so on. We have seen thousands of our youngsters dying pursuing these unachievable goals. He said that we must protect our young generation from further misery and deaths; strive for a better future and attainable goals in a peaceful manner.
He said, “Time has come when the people must know that the traditional political parties who remained in power in the past have only exploited the masses over the years. Thus, people need to be cautious this time by not giving away their vote to these traditional exploiters.”He added, “
Majid said, “People have complete faith in Apni Party’s agenda, and they understand that unlike traditional political parties Apni Party has an unambiguous agenda and policies for Jammu and Kashmir and its people. We do not believe in emotional slogans and political gimmicks; thus, we do not promise the moon and stars. But we are committed to working for the peace, prosperity, and development of Jammu and Kashmir, and political and economic empowerment of its people.”
On this occasion, many political workers from different political parties joined Apni Party. Welcoming them into the party, Majid said that there is alienation among the people due to disconnect of the officers and hopelessness from the political parties who have ruled J&K but did nothing for the people.
In his respective address, Majid impressed on the workers to further strengthen the party cadres at grassroots level and apprise the people about Party’s people centric agenda.
Speaking on the occasion Imtiyaz Ahmed Parry said the times when people had lost hope and were engulfed by a sense of insecurity and alienation, Apni Party emerged as a ray of hope for them. It was through the unstinting efforts of our leaders, the land and job rights of the people of J&K were secured. Apni Party is a people-centric party that focuses on ushering in an era of peace, prosperity and development in J&K he added.
