In order to spread awareness about cybercrime among officers/Jawans of BSF, Budgam Police today organised Cybercrime awareness Program at STC BSF Humhama, which was attended by officers and Jawans of STC BSF Humhama. Shri Gowhar Ahmed Khan-JKPS Addl. SP Budgam hosted the event. During his speech, he briefed about various types of cyber threats/activities viz Identity theft, Malware attacks, Ransomware,Olx fraud, KYC scam, investment Scam, Loan offer Fraud etc.
Speaking on the occasion, speaker advised that since cyber crime has increased manyfold and security force jawans are main targets, so officers/Jawans of BSF need to observe high alertness especially those who are dealing with computer systems. He also appealed to the participants to be cautious about the risks associated with digital transactions and social media applications in use. He also advised the participants to observe utmost caution as this is the age of Cyber Warfare.The participants were also briefed about the Cyber Laws which are applicable against criminals.
The participants and officers of BSF appreciated the efforts of Budgam Police for facilitating such awareness programs.
