Budgam Police seized 02 tippers, and arrested 02 persons involved in illegal excavation and transportation of minerals.
During Naka Checking at Bonpora Soibugh Budgam, Police party of Police post Soibugh intercepted 02 tippers loaded with illegally extracted soil. The accused drivers were arrested and 02 tippers with registration numbers JK03A 3595 ,JK04B 3681 seized on the spot. The arrested drivers were subsequently identified as:-
1. Firdous Ahmad Malik
S/o Muhammad Sadiq Malik R/o Bonpora Soibugh
02. Mudasir Ahmad Kuttay S/o Mohammad Shafi Kuttay R/o Arizal Budgam.
In this regard, Case FIR number 221/2022, under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation set into motion.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units
