Lolab known as Land of Love and beauty , used to be a hot topic quite some years ago in district kupwara . Being close to the border it used to ignite lot of fear . But with the passage of time things are changing now. And Lolab is now an epitome of Peace . Studded with natural beauty – a beautiful natural diversity and very cool , warm and hospitable locals . This part of Kashmir is a beautiful Surprise for all.
As I write this article I thought of taking you all to this beautiful valley while you can feel the beautiful carvations of God Almighty which He has bestowed our Lolab with . A beautiful valley with still wooden houses having tinned roofs surrounded by rice fields and Himalayan Horizon soothes hearts of whosoever visits this valley.
People And Tradition:
The people inhabiting in Lolab valley of Kashmir have a unique life style. Both women and men, for centuries have been living off the land and the forests surrounding them. Even after much progress and transformation of its economy, most of them still live in the traditional wood and mud houses, architecture of which, to some may seem primitive, has evolved over centuries.
Lolab is full of God given Resources. This valley is home to many ancient springs, and is covered with dense forests of pine and fir. Also known as the fruit bowl of Jammu and Kashmir, tourists while staying with locals can see how people here grow apples, cherries, peaches, apricots and walnuts. Lolab also has many natural landmarks like the caves of Kalaroos and Green Meadows.
Lolab Valley boasts of beautiful orchard sand cultivated land. The picturesque beauty is ideal for picnics and few days away from urban locales in the middle of unadulterated nature.
