The mausoleum of Baba Payamuddin (Pam Din) is a popular religious place

This shrine was established since 1480 AD and is situated approximately at an altitude of 7000 ft. It has been one of the highly visited shrines of the Kashmir valley.
It has been believed that Baba Reshi had attained enlightenment at this place after giving up all his belongings for the common people. At this place, is situated a special minaret which is known by the name of “Nurkhaw” inside which the sacred tomb of Baba Reshi is placed. The tomb is always covered with the pious cloth embroidered with the holy verses of Quran. On this Nurkhaw, one could see the intrinsic details of the delicate yet beautiful work done on wood and glass pieces which makes it one the spectacular art form.
Every year, on the eve of Baba Reshi’s birth anniversary, hundreds of people and his followers come this shrine to pay their humble respect. A Mannat-e-Aman is being organized every year on the very same day in which sufi artists hailing from different parts of our country come and present their talented art in the form of paying their due homage to the pious Baba Reshi.
Indeed, one can feel the positive aura around this place which makes it one of the highly visited places in the Kashmir valley.
