KUPWARA : The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today said that COVID recovery rate in district Kupwara has gone up to 98.49% ,which is a sign of satisfaction.
The Deputy Commissioner was addressing a presser in his office chamber, here today.
Giving details, the Deputy Commissioner said that 80.03% people of above 45 year age and 23.77% of 18 to 44 year age group have been vaccinated till date. He said the positivity rate has declined to 0.29% while as, recovery rate has gone up to 98.49% which is a sign of satisfaction for the district.
He said the district has currently 46 active cases, adding that only 3 patients are admitted in hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated his appeal to the people of the district to continuously follow the Covid appropriate behaviour and other SOPs. He appealed the people to come forward and administer Covid vaccine at nearby vaccination centres for their safety against the pandemic to achieve the target in full. He said people should be more responsive in keeping the covid at bay by using masks and maintaining distance.
District Information Officer, Mohammad Yousuf Mir, District Epidemiologists, COVID control room, Kupwara Naseer Ahmad and Nodal Officer Covid, Ghulam Nabi Sheikh were present at the occasion.
