Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today had an extensive tour of border area Keran of district Kupwara. During the day long tour, the Deputy Commissioner took detailed review of pace of progress of development activities in the area. He also took stock of essential commodities, being dumped in the area for winter months.
Deputy Commissioner convened a separate meeting with local PRIs and senior citizens and got instant feedback regarding implementation of Government sponsored schemes at ground level.
During the tour, various public deputations met with Deputy Commissioner and projected their demands. The Deputy Commissioner heard them patiently and assured them that their genuine demands would be resolved on priority basis. He said that the sole aim of visiting areas like Keran is to assess the problems of the people for their timely redressal.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by concerned DDC Member, local officers and PRIs.
