Following the unfortunate demise of Karachi Zoo’s elephant named Noor Jahan, Sri Lanka has expressed their willingness to assist Pakistan by gifting them with two elephants. Yasin Joya, a representative, has confirmed that one elephant will be allocated to Lahore Zoo and the other to Karachi Zoo.
It is noteworthy that both zoos are currently without elephants, with Lahore Zoo’s elephant, Suzi, having passed away earlier, leaving a void in the establishment. Similarly, Karachi Zoo’s elephant, Noor Jahan Hathani, also breathed her last on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
