Accelerate public outreach programme: Mohammad Ashraf Mir
SRINAGAR, September 2: Dozens of prominent activists affiliated with different political parties from Budgam district on Wednesday joined Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) at The Bund in Lal Chowk Srinagar.
In a statement issued here, a spokesman of the party said that those who joined the party included National Conference leader and former district organiser Budgam Master Mohammad Maqbool, former Congress Vice President District Budgam Abdul Gani Saudagar and former vice president NCP Prof. (Retd.) Ghulam Mohammad Paul.
Dozens of workers The new entrants to the JKAP were welcomed by JKAP provincial president Kashmir province Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Abdul Majeed Padder, Noor Mohammad Sheikh, Muntazir Mohi-ud-Din, Farooq Andrabi, Irfan Naqib, Showkat Gayoor and Mushtaq Ganaie.
“We found JKAP’s agenda practicable and based on an equitable developmental plan. Our areas were so far subjected to the extreme neglect and deprived of common minimum facilities which should be available to any civilized human habitation. But now we are of firm belief that while working under the leadership of JKAP, our district shall observe a tangible change in every sphere of life,” the new entrants said.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Ashraf Mir JKAP provincial President Kashmir Province said: “We are grateful to the people of J&K for reposing their trust and confidence in JKAP. We pledge and rededicate ourselves to work for mitigation of sufferings of people on the ground and we will leave no stone unturned in this regard.”
Mir said that the district Budgam especially Chrar-e-Shareef has a historic importance and the JKAP will always work for its holistic development.
“We are also sure that with today’s joining the Party’s cadre will get a boost in district Budgam. My appeal to our party colleagues is to accelerate its public outreach programme everywhere in order to address the day-to-day issues of the people,” he added.
