In his continued efforts to strengthen India’s collaborative partnerships with other nations, External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, held a significant meeting with SCO Secretary General, Zhang Ming, on Thursday. The two leaders convened to discuss the overall agenda of the grouping, particularly during the ongoing Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) in this beach resort. With India’s hosting of the conclave ahead of the annual summit of the grouping in July, this meet holds significant importance in cementing India’s position as a key strategic partner in the SCO region. EAM Jaishankar’s diplomatic efforts will further bolster India’s relations with the SCO member countries and facilitate bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest. (TRK)
