MENDHAR: Hundreds of retired paramilitary force personnel and martyr families gathered at Dak Bungalow Mendhar to pay heartfelt tributes to the soldiers and who were martyred in the December 13 Parliament attack and General Vipin Rawat.Observed two minutes silence in honor of the martyred souls.
Ex-Paramilitary Force Welfare Association Jammu and Kashmir President Mohammad Ayum Khan honored the widows of the martyred families with a shawl on the occasion. M S Nazki, Tariq Khan and other media personnel were honored by giving special certificates for bringing the issues related to the welfare of paramilitary jawans to the notice of the government.
Former Additional DG HR Singh, who came from Delhi, demanded the establishment of a paramilitary welfare board for the welfare of paramilitary personnel in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. General Secretary Ranbir Singh demanded to setting up of CGHS dispensaries for better health facilities to thousands of families residing in Poonch Mendhar border areas. The State President appealed to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor for the establishment of Para Military Flag Day Fund on the lines of Army Flag Day for the pension and rehabilitation and welfare of the retired, martyr families. It should be noted that on the above pertinent issues, Mohammad Ayum Khan had a fruitful meeting and submitted a memorandum to His Excellency the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan on September 3, 2021, along with the delegation under the leadership of Ranbir Singh.
