FIRST OF ITS KIND RAP BATTLE AT TAGORE HALL SRINAGAR
Panaash production and Fab Avenue Kashmir organised a HIGH VOLT Rap battle at Tagore Hall Srinagar
“This event was a collaboration to give the art and artists of the valley a new direction. We decided to start with the growing art of the valley, and it had to be either Rap or poetry, but we decided that Rap in itself has poetry and also a rhythm, so we decided to go with it,” said Basit Bedar, one of the organizers.
The show was hosted by RJ Mursal.
DSP Aadil was the cheif guest of the event along with the artists of Valley Irfan, Bilal and Mehmeet Syed
RED FM also collaborated with us to promote the event. Radio as a medium of information keeps people updated and at the same time radio has been the prime platform to promote new talent. As radio jockeys, we do not have much time to present plus promote many artists in a single frame or at a single spot, so we came up with the idea of creating a space of bringing the artists of a single genre in one place. As a promotor of art, our Radio station found it interesting to collaborate for the event, said RJ Rafiq, who also hosts the Vellapanti show at RED FM Srinagar.
There were also some other musical performances by the artists of Kashmir like Syed Tajamul, Anaf Sofi, Yawer Ali, and many more.
“We have just started an initiative to give something to the art and artists of Kashmir, and we would love to collaborate with the private organizations, NGOs, and other stakeholders of the valley to bring this idea to life. I being an artist myself, know the worth of getting a genuine platform to showcase my talent so, we will always be committed to quality, credibility, and productivity with justice in whatever endeavors we hold for our ventures in the future. Let us give people a source of good entertainment, said RJ Mursal and Farrukh Haqani, the organizing members of the teams.
