The shopkeepers are worst hit from Corona Virus Lockdowns. Keeping in view the COVID-19 National wide lockdown since March,2020 the shopkeepers hadn’t opened shops since lockdown 1 announced by Sri Narendra Modi the prime minister of India. After unlock phase I & II respectively the shops opened for business procedures but unfortunately district administration felt necessary to close down the business units in order to save people from community transmission of Coronavirus.
“I request the concern authorities to look after the losses incurred / interest paid/ Loan account expenses/ Rent, Electricity bill payments / salaries to employees etc which are huge burden for the shopkeepers to meet on for further course of action. The whole market is facing closure on date as per circular issued by the district administration.I request Honble Lt. Governor Sahab to address this genuine issue and help the traders fraternity to grow up with the support of Government (a separate letter has been forwarded to Sh Girish Chandra Murmu Honorable LG of Jammu & Kashmir),” said Amood Gulzar – a social worker and student commerce
