Government of J&K has launched the “Digital J&K, Week 2022” from 25th to 31st, July at SKICC, Srinagar. The aim is to celebrate the week as J&K Digital Mela and facilitate the public, so that they are made aware of various e-services provided by the Departments. Digital J&K Mela week was earlier inaugurated by Lt. Governor, J&K Manoj Sinha on 25th July.

Dept of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR) presented their digital achievements and services today.

The Chief Guest on the occasion was Nazim Zai Khan, Secretary to Govt, DMRRR. The session was attended by Relief Commissioner (Migrants), KK Sidha, Aamir Ali, Nodal Officer SEOC, Firdous Iqbal, Commandant SDRF and Home Guards, Kulbushan Kumar, Director Finance DMRRR, Om Prakash Director Geology and Mining, Secy Cultural Academy, representatives from SDRF, Fire & Emergency Services, NDRF, Indian Meteorological Department, Faculty from various Colleges, and senior representatives from DMRRR and various allied departments attended.

Secretary, DMRRR, Nazim Zai Khan gave a detailed overview of the department and said that DMRRR has successfully implemented digitally enabled services for the benefit of the general population . He said that Information Technology tools are being used as interface between Govt and public to resolve their grievances and providing online services. He said that Dept of DMRRR has also launched several services in the field of Disaster Management which have enabled the stakeholders to promptly prepare and respond to any incident in a better way.

Relief Commissioner (Migrants), J&K, gave detailed presentation of services provided for the ease of migrants and displaced persons. He said that they have enabled online services for Registration, EWS, Domicile and grievance disposal with the help of digitally enabled platforms.

Er Iftikhar Hakeem Director P&C, Er Shabeer Hussain from JTFRP alongwith Consultants from RMSI, Junaid & Yasir highlighted the tools developed under JTFRP, with World Bank funding, including Digital Risk Database and Decision Support System. These tools deal any untoward incident in an effective manner.

Waseem Shafi, Sr Consultant DMRRR highlighted the initiatives taken by the DMRRR.

On the occasion Nazim Zai Khan Secretary DMRRR launched the department website jksdma.jk.gov.in
