Today on 30 July 2022, a meeting was held with the NOKs of Police martyr’s at DPL Handwara. The meeting was chaired by SP Handwara Ms. Sheema Nabi Qasba-IPS accompanied by ASP Handwara Shri Irshad Hussain-JKPS, besides SDPO Handwara, DySP PC Kralgund and other officers of police Handwara and NOKs of Police martyrs were also present in the meeting.
The meeting was held to take stock of the welfare of the families of police martyrs who laid their precious lives in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.
The chairing officer while addressing the NOK’s of martyr’s assured them of every possible help and lauded the role played by their loved ones in sacrificing their lives for the sake of nation.
The chairing officer appreciated the role played by the martyred police personnel by spending their precious years in the service of the department & emphasised the NOK’s of martyr’s to consider police department as their family and share their problems whenever need arises.
During interaction, various grievances were raised by the participants, who were assured by the officer that these issues will be taken up at appropriate level for timely redressal.
NOK’s of martyr’s expressed satisfaction and hoped to further strengthen this bond.
