Handwara Police continuing its public outreach programme, today held ‘Thana Divas’ at Police Station Kralgund.
The event was chaired by DYSP DAR Handwara Shri Abdul Majid-JKPS accompanied by SHO PS Kralgund.
The meeting was attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs, respectable citizens ,civil societies of concerned area, including members of Auqaf Committees, Numberdars, Chowkidars,Traders Federation and Transporters.
During the meeting, the participants highlighted various issues of public importance, and they were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and that of civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
While speaking on the occasions, it was reiterated that the main aim of organising ‘Thana Divas, is improve the Greivance redressal mechanism for the general public, besides seeking support and active cooperation from the members of the public in maintaining peace and order in the area.
The participants were urged to avoid taking law into their own hands and to resolve disputes in a lawful and peaceful manner.
The participants appreciated the role of police for conducting such interactive meetings on a regular basis.
