KUPWARA : As part of the continued efforts to engage the youth of Kupwara and promote the sports and games, Indian Army, Kupwara Terriers sponsored 5 karate players from dist Kupwara to participate State Karate Championship 2022.
3rd J & K (UT) Karate championship is scheduled to be held at Mahajan Hall Jammu wef 05 – 06 Mar 2022 in which 20 players (11 boys & 09 girls) from dist Kupwara are participating. Indian Army, Kupwara Terriers have sponsored 05 players falling under the AOR of this unit to participate in the above Karate Championship.
Commanding Officer, Kupwara Terriers, congratulated these young players on their selection and assured them support in the future also. He spoke at length to the players about their experiences, challenges, requirements and reiterated the importance of sports in creating a positive environment to bring development, peace and harmony to the region.
Army remains in the forefront of encouraging youth of Kupwara to participate in sports and supports players, enabling them to achieve glory in various sporting activities.
