Next addition in the list of International Indian CEOs is Laxman Narasimhan who will be heading global coffee chain, Starbucks, from October 1. The company announced his appointment yesterday.
Narsimhan is set to join the board on April 1, 2023. He will be relocating from London to Seattle, and will work closely with outgoing CEO Howard Schultz, before assuming his role.
Narasimhan had completed his Mechanical Engineering from University of Pune, India. He is also an MA degree holder in German and International Studies from The Lauder Institute at The University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.
Narasimhan has 30 years of experience in international brand management. He was the CEO of Reckitt, a multinational consumer health, hygiene and nutrition company. Narasimhan exited from Reckitt just few hours before news of his appointment at Starbucks.
