Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Rukhsar Ahmad who died due a cardiac arrest a day ago was laid rest at Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, officials said.
An official told that Rukhsar Ahmad, a DySP rank officer from Chandian Pajan area of Kulgam who died of cardiac arrest in Saudi Arabia a day go was laid rest at Saudi Arabia.
He said Rukhsar, who was posted at IR 10th Battalion, had gone to Saudi Arabia a week ago to perform Umrah along with his family members.
His death has been widely mourned by bureaucrats, his friends in J&K Police and Civil administration, political leaders, trade unionists, Media Freternity and civil society groups.
He was respected by his colleagues in J&K Police throughout his service career for his people’s friendly gestures.
