Kulgam Police continuing unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society arrested three notorious drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
Police party of Police Station Yaripora led by SHO Yaripora under the supervision of DySP PC Hatipora established a naka at Sunman bridge During checking of vehicles on specific input , one vehicle (Santro) bearing registration number JK03C-6043 was intercepted and by checking of the said vehicle 16 Kg of Poppy Straw & a grinder was recovered from the possession of three drug Smugglers namely;
01. Sheraz Ahmad Lone S/O Mohammad Ramzan Lone R/O Tungduno.
02. Kamaljeet Singh S/O Mahinder Singh R/O Nowshehra Punjab.
03. Charanjeet Singh S/O Mohan Singh R/O Hushyarpur Punjab ferrying in the said vehicle, all the three drug peddlers were arrested and vehicle used in commission of crime was also seized.
Regarding the incident Case with FIR No. O5/2022 U/S 8/15 ,29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Yaripora and investigation has been taken up.
People are requested to come forward and extend cooperation to Police and any information regarding anti-social activity may be shared with Police, so that timely action can be taken against the culprits.
