KUPWARA TERRIERS AND FCI, JAMMU CONDUCT SCREENING FOR ‘HUNAR SE ROZGAR TAK PROGRAM’ AT VILGAM, KUPWARA.
Indian Army successfully sets up 6th training center in Kupwara in 6 months
160 TA JAKRIF (Kupwara Terriers) and 15 RR organized screening and admission camp at Magham, Handwara in collaboration with Food Craft Institute (FCI), Jammu (Dept of Skill Devlopment UT of J&K) on May 29, 2021.
Affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (Noida) and sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism (Govt of India), the programme is designed to provide training for 5 hospitality courses and assured employment on successful completion of the course.
The center at Vilgam is the 6th opened by the Indian Army within six months and 75 candidates from Kupwara district have been successfully placed till date.
120 candidates are currently undergoing training, including 33 female trainees. The goal of the ‘Hunar Se Rozgar Tak Program’ is to provide training and skills to eligible candidates to enable them to get employment or become entrepreneurs and contribute financially to their families and the community at large.
