Kupwara: In yet another feat, a Lolab boy namely Kamran Mohammad Shamas Wani of Sogam Lolab has outshined and won “Silver” in Senior Wushu Championship held in Srinagar. It was Kashmir’s ist experience to witness wushu Championship in which 43 teams across the country participated.
Kamran, who is basically from Sogam Lolab and now tentatively resides in Srinagar has brought laurels to entire Lolab Valley after winning “silver” in the first ever championship. The championship in which about 43 teams across the country participated including service teams of ITPB,BSP, POLICE,CRPF. The lolab boy participated through Srinagar Wushu Championship”.
“Feeling very jubilant after winning this feat after repeated attempts. I unequivocally thank to all who supported and guided me from time to time”, Kamran told over phone
The boy is currently undergoing study in 2nd year “Punjab Economics Honest”, in Punjab.
Mohammad Shamas, father of Kamran said “My son has brought laurels not only for Kashmir but for Lolab in particular. My son has made me proud today day after successfully achieving this milestone”, Mohammad Shamas is a retired engineer while as his mother is currently headmistress at High School shalteng Srinagar.
In the meantime, several delegations have extended heartiest greetings towards the boy for winning a silver in Wushu championship.
