Motorola India is shifting its focus back to the affordable E-smartphone series with a new Moto E32. The new phone that will launch on October 7 comes weeks after the company introduced new devices under its premium Edge series. Ahead of the official launch, Motorola has revealed all its specifications, though pricing details remain unclear. The Moto E32 looks similar to Realme’s 9i 5G, which launched in India a few months ago. Key features of the upcoming device include a 90Hz IPS LCD display, a 50-megapixel dual camera system, and a MediaTek Helio G37.

Moto E32 specifications

It is likely that the new Moto E32 will be targeted towards customers looking for a smartphone under Rs 12,000. Motorola, as always, will boast the phone’s clean Android UI and two years of security updates. Notably, the smartphone will ship with Android 12.

Customers will get to choose between two colours – black and blue. It features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio – a standard for smartphones under the Rs 12,000 range. The back panel has a PMMA material, which is essentially plastic but offers a glass-like smooth finish. Motorola has also used the same material on some of its G-series smartphones.

Under the hood, there’s a MediaTek Helio G37 with up to 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. The internal storage is expandable via a microSD card slot. For security, there’s a fingerprint scanner.

Motorola has decided to use a dual camera system on the back, while most smartphone makers use three to make the device more attractive. There’s a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It means there’s no ultra-wide angle sensor. On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel sensor that supports modes like portrait, night vision, and dual-capture. The Moto E32 supports dual-band Wi-Fi and 4G.

Lastly, it packs a large 5000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. Motorola has said the phone will be available for purchase on Flipkart. (India Today)
