This happened in the last forty eight hours UT J&K and above it the statement from the top gun of Jammu and Kashmir Police says that 57 youth flew from J&K to Pakistan!
-‘ So it can be summed up in a sentence that though everything is under control yet loop holes do exist. The security grid is undoubtedly impenetrable and impregnable but cannot be said as watertight because the impossible can still happen and is happening. No doubt that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is looking extremely good despite the fact that the Covid-19 and the Delta variant still is a menace yet another one that causes disturbance is the perennial militancy and terror factor. For the past few days some unexpected events did take place and three of them were in Rajouri and Poonch and the others in the valley. (I will come to this later in the script.)’
-‘ To be honest this was something that was expected. 5th August was marked on the security calendar since that was the date that Article 370 was abrogated and a closure in the Valley was a norm that everyone knew would happen. It did though not without controversies. But ten days later from the date was/is Independence day. Therefore an extra vigil had to be put into execution and it was deftly done. But a few incidents do tend to take minds back to the caution syndrome which is so necessary’.
-‘ The youth in Kashmir who love guns may say to their admirers that our love affair with guns has nothing to do with tyranny, or militias, or self-preservation, It is just for the betterment of Kashmir but its a lie. It’s a hoax because it’s not about the life and liberty of the people. It’s all about the sheer hard-on of owning a gun and bullying people to submission. Courage is not a man with a gun in his hand. It’s knowing you’re licked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do but not always. The win is nothing but a loss for the society because this way or that way you are killing a Kashmiri because of sheer arrogance and ignorance of the real time fact that you are being used with a small little cliché, ‘Achha Tha, Fighter Thaa Par Mara Gaya’. I will still say that it’s the worst possible way to lose life!
The youth in Kashmir who believe that violence can bring them salvation are sailing on the river of winged dreams for sure Jhelum is not of that kind though it looks silent and dreamy. They were born in a democratic country called India and democracy is not simply a license to indulge individual whims and proclivities. It is also holding oneself accountable to some reasonable degree for the conditions of peace and chaos that impact the lives of those who inhabit one’s beloved extended community. These few young men with outrageous ideas have ruined Kashmir and some of them still are on the same wavelength forgetting that in the days when hyenas of hate suckle the babes of men, and jackals of hypocrisy (their Pakistani masters) are hell bent on destroying their lives, the die a forgettable death not to be remembered. Let me tell you one thing even Bhuran Wani’s parents told him to surrender but he never did. I’m sure that so would have the ten others heard their parents saying so. They never listened and the result? Lifeless they lie in the graves! Anyway I told you in the very beginning that some disturbing events happened in fact many of them after the rumblings in the Pir Panjals when two demons of violence were gunned down. The others were:
I. Youth traveling to Pakistan:
We did a detailed story on this and this is the confirmation. 57 youth travelled to PaK on student tourist visa in 2017-joined militancy, said the J&K DGP Dilbagh Singh. They went on a valid visa and documents but joined militancy of which 17 youth returned along with weapons and got killed in encounters. He also said that 13 are still active in this side of the LOC and 17 are living across, who are under constant watch of J&K Police. The pretext of going was studies but that was a practical joke because they joined militancy. But from now onwards the strictures would be harsh, he added. Who will lose out? Obviously the ones who are sincere to Kashmir and want to do wonders for this wonderful place. But the men sitting across and enjoying the bad company in Pakistan for sure will not give a second thought to it.
II. Infiltration attempts:
This will not stop till the time Pakistan dismantles the terror camps which it will not. So far three to four groups including one in Bandipora and around three in Rajouri-Poonch sector have attempted the hop over to this side but in vain. Four militants were killed in Bandipora had crossed over to this side through Machil and Gurez sectors while in Rajouri two militants were killed recently and there are apprehensions of the presence of two more. So the roulette goes on but with dire consequences for those wanting to come here loaded with firearms and ammunition.
III. The Hawala money movement:
Obviously money is a requirement to sustain the terror factor but Mendhar Police in District Poonch was right on the button. On a specific information Police along with Hamirpur unit of army raided different locations in village Kanga Bhrooti in presence of Magistrate and seized an amount of Rupees 2581500(Twenty five lakh Eighty one Thousands Five Hundred) hawala money and arrested two persons namely Mohammad Shakeel S/o Mohammad Munshi R/o Kanga and Mohammad Alyas S/o Noor Mohammad R/o Kanga Bhrooti. In this regard an FIR has been lodged in police Station Mendhar under relevant sections of Law and further investigation is going on. As this village is situated across the fence near LOC this money may have been fetched up from across by the accused persons for hiring youth to load themselves with guns. The police party’ led by SHO Manzoor Kohli to do the job which was effectively done. This operation was carried out under the supervision of Z.A.Jafri SDPO Mendhar on the directions of SSP Poonch Dr Vinod Kumar. The role play of collating the information and disseminating the same for action was done by DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Vivek Gupta and planning instructions in the situations room were given out by IG Jammu Mukesh Singh. If I understand the terrain, the villagers of Kanga Bhrooti cannot have such a kind of money but from across, yes definitely yes because this tale is an old one right from the 1990’s.
IV: Ghastly killing of the BJP leader and his wife:
All said and done it was ridiculous and the worst possible slur on humanity. BJP leader Ghulam Rasool Dar, his wife shot dead by terrorists in J&K’s Anantnag. The couple was rushed to the hospital after terrorists fired at them at Lal Chowk in Anantnag, but they succumbed to the injuries. Dar was also sarpanch and the party’s district president of Anantnag. Police blamed the militant group, Lashkar e Taiba for the killing. Dar was not a bad person at all. He loved helping the farmers and was all for promoting agriculture but now he is no more. Another example of Kashmiri killing a Kashmiri. This incidentally is no movement for some vague dream. It’s a prime time example of instilling fear in humanity. Nevertheless these blood sucking wolves will not be able to change Anantnag as it would remain a countryside of beauty and joy forever.
V. The grenade attack in Srinagar:
This always happens suddenly and this one too was no different. The terrorists hurled the grenade targeting the security forces deployed in Srinagar’s Hari Singh High Street market area, but missed the target. A day after killing a BJP leader and his wife in cold-blood in Kashmir, the terrorists launched a grenade attack targeting security forces. The attack, loaded with sheer cowardice by the terrorists (or runaway hit kids hired with a small amount of money) missed the target, but injured two civilians in the process. As per the reports 10 civilians were injured in the grenade attack. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Again who got hurt? Had to be Kashmiris as they were caught by shrapnels flying all over the place as they never knew as to what was being hurled by their own kids treading the pathways of hell and would be soon knocking at the doors sooner or later.
VI. Security forces in district Poonch again do it:
Be it on the operational or civic action front the security forces in the district have done a splendid job and yet again they pulled out all stops to excavate a cache of arms which were meant to be used sooner or later. BSF, army and police recovered two AK-47 rifles, a pistol and four grenades besides a cache of ammunition from a hideout in Poonch district. They said based on specific input, a joint operation was launched by BSF along with RR and SOG (Special Operations Group) in the forest area at Sangad Mankote in Mendhar. During searches, other than the two AK-47 rifles, its four magazines and 257 rounds, one Chinese pistol along with magazine, 68 (9 mm) rounds and 23 (7.65mm) rounds, one of Set I-Com, four grenades, 13 detonators (four non-electric and 9 electric type), 15 fuse detonator of Chinese grenades, 16 metres of Cordex , two mobile phones (Nokia), 12 battery mobile chargers and two batteries (9V). This indeed was a maximized recovery but it was nipped there and then before it could be used. The operation was led by DySP Poonch Manish Sharma under the supervision of SSP Poonch Dr Vinod Kumar (IPS).This was yet another marvelous job done.
VII. If it was happening on this side of Pir Panjal, something else was on in Kupwara:
This was yet another event amongst many that have taken place in the past 48 hours in the Union Territory. Again it was the sustained alertness and vigil that ensured another spectacular action. Security forces recovered explosives and detonators from a panchayat ghar in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. A joint search operation was launched based on specific inputs on Gulgam area of Kupwara district. During the searches, five kilograms of Polymer bonded explosives (PBX) was recovered from the panchayat ghar. They said the explosives were later destroyed. Two detonators and some posters about abrogation of Article 370 and closure (bandh) calls were also recovered from the building, the official added. Obviously the explosives were not kept there for some pyrotechnic celebrations. They were there for a purpose and that was to hurt someone. Either it had to be the Awaam or of course the Jawan standing always for the people.
The incidents were all disturbing and not good to the ears as such. Everyone knows that but there are some elements who perhaps have vowed not to understand. For how long but? Let us wait and watch. This is not our first story on terrorism ripping apart Kashmir and it will not be the last either but what I have seen for the last thirty years is that the call from terror is akin to, time is tick, tick, ticking away. How many will they kill (the innocents)? Only time will tell as the clock keeps tick, tick, ticking. They think that the are Gods for that moment? But they are nothing but humans morphed into animals with guns and grenades in hand with brains black washed (since brain is all purified white). But they fail to understand that time keeps tick, tick and ticking for them also! By the way, as a reminder, the cats are the gangsters of the animal world, living outside the law and often dying there. And these men are the gun carrying gangsters of the human world living in hideouts and dying there! What an insane choice!
