Police in Hazratbal zone today organised an awareness programme on drug abuse which was held at Kashmir Harvard educational institute.
The programme was organised under the directions of SP Hazratbal Mashkoor and the main motive behind conducting such programme is to provide awareness of drug de-addiction among the participants and their cooperation was sought in eradicating the social evils prevailing in the society particularly menace of drugs.
Detailed deliberations on various aspects of drug addiction and preventive measures especially in youth were also discussed. All participants pledged to never indulge in any kind of substance abuse.
Principal of the school highlighted the role of parents and said that parents have a greater responsibility in social development of a child as they act as the first teachers and guides of their wards.
On the occasion, SDPO Zadibal, SDPO Zakura Showkat and SHO Nigeen Javeed were also present. Prize distribution was also done among those who gave good speech regarding drug menace
The participants thanked Police for conducting such awareness programmes and building a bridge of trust between police and the youth.
