Residents of Sonigam, Tarigam, balsoo, bachroo,Brazloo,and adjoining villages of yaripora Reciving station of kulgam district are up in arms against Power Department for unscheduled power cuts.
The residents have accused the Power Department of failing regular power supply to them.
“We don’t receive electricity as per the power schedule. Frequent power cuts have become a daily routine now,” said a resident of Sonigam. “Our exams are going on and due to shortage of power supply, we have to face a lot of hardships. We have been repeatedly asking authorities to redress our problems; but to no avail,” the students from these villages told media.
They accused the Power Department of failing to provide them electricity as per the schedule.
Residents of these areas appeals LG J&K,DC Kulgam and Chief Engineer PDD Kashmir to look into this matter and redress their problem as soon as possible so that people can feel some sort of relief during this harsh winter
