Mehmood Bashir who always dreamed big had never thought of becoming an entrepreneur, is currently setting his footprints in the business after he started Bakery and Confectionary manufacturing unit.
Bashir who hails from small village, Jagarpora, in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, though coming from mainstream political family, Bashir preferred something else.
After completing his Master’s in Business management, Bashir started the manufacturing unit for Bakery and confectionary in his own district and wants to take his unit to it’s top levels.
“Never tell a young person that anything cannot be done” G. M Trevelyan , a British Historian and Academician has once said this famous Quote.
At a time when young people on our side of universe are waiting for government to provide them opportunities, some among them create opportunities not only for themselves but for others too.
A young MBA pass out Mehmood Bashir Dar is one among those youngsters who pursued his dream instead of waiting for government job.
After completing his MBA from a reputed university in Delhi, Mehmood at the very young age started his own bakery in Kupwara town and provided jobs to other people too.
“I always wanted to own something and which I will start and give shape. After research in market, I found that a good quality bakery is much needed here, so I invested in bakery”, he said.
He named the bakery, The Bake House Kupwara, at bypass road Kupwara, is a famous bakery of the times not only in Kupwara town, but people from different villages visit here and shop for bakery.
Though Mehmood is the son of fomer MLA Kupwara and renowned Advocate, Adv. Bashir Ahmad Dar. But he chose a different way to show his side of “work”.
” Parents usually don’t rely on their children at this age, but I am lucky that my parents supported in this initiative. I told them that I want to start a bakery and I was given this freedom to choose my career”, he said in excitement.
This bakery has now a dozen employees and Mehmood is happy that he became the source of income to all these people.
He has a positive message to qualified youngsters
“Dream for something. Go for it. Don’t wait for government employment only. You can start of your own if you have the will”.
