Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police arrested one peddler and recovered narcotics in Handwara area.
Today a police party of Police Station Handwara, while on naka duty at Chotipora crossing, apprehended one person who had attempted to evade the police party in a suspicious manner.
On search, around 05 grams of Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from his possession. The person has been identified as Fayaz Ahmad Kaboo S/o Gh Ahmad, R/o Maratgam.

No. 277/2022 U/s 8/21 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Handwara and investigation has been initiated.
