On October 10, 2022 Police Party of Police Station Vilgam established a naka at Sheikhpora crossing. During checking, a load carrier auto on seeing the naka party tried to flee from the spot in a suspicious manner but was tactfully apprehended by the alert naka party. On search of the vehicle 03 quintals of stolen electric wire has been recovered.
The accused has been identified as Farooq Ahmad Dar, S/o Ab Rashid, R/o Sheer Colony-B Sopore. The vehicle with registration No. JK01 AB/5369 used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
In relation to this case FIR No. 113/2022 U/s 379 IPC stands registered in PS Vilgam and investigation has been initiated.
