Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police arrested one notorious Drug Peddler. During naka checking, Police Party under the supervision of SDPO Sopore apprehended one person at Ahad Baba crossing and recovered Contraband Substance from his possession.
During his personal search 216 capsules of SPASMOPROXYVON Plus were recovered and seized on the spot. During further questioning the accused disclosed his identity as Umer Amin Banday S/O Muhammad Amin Banday R/O Gousia Colony Noorbagh Sopore.
In this regard Case FIR No. 252 of 2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been taken up.
General public has applauded the efforts of Sopore Police for eliminating the menace of drugs from the society.
People are also requested to co-operate, so that Drug peddlers shall be curbed effectively in future also.
