BJP Leader Sheikh Khalid Jehangir while responding to the tweet of JKPC President Sajad Lone wrote, Sajad saub, you mean a villager has a right to encroach/ grab state land bcoz it’s a general practice in villages & people who live cities in 6×6 feet rooms don’t have the right to encroach and grab state land.
Under what law is this Justified?
Sheikh responded to the tweet of Sajad Lone, in which he said, Occupation of State Land in villages by inhabitants of a particular village is a generational practice and an irreversible reality. This practice is prevalent in the rest of the country.
A sizeable percentage of the population is involved. You can’t make them homeless.
This whole idea of retrieving state land in rural settings is dangerous. When will these insane experiments backed by ugly muscularity end.
