Waqf Board goes bullish on alleged embezzlement at Kangan shrine; orders investigation to audit donations spanning two decades

Ganderbal, 13 May (TRK):- The Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board has taken notice of the alleged misappropriation of donations at a shrine located in the Rayil Gund area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. The Board has ordered an investigation into this matter, and a three-member committee has been constituted for auditing the donations received at the Ziyarat Shareef Rayil Gund since 2000. The team comprising Nazir Ahmad Wani (supervisor), Manzoor Ahmad Shah, and Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh will carry out an in-depth inquiry into the allegations of embezzlement of donations and properties. The team has been instructed to submit a comprehensive report within seven days from the date of inquiry initiation. (TRK)
