Jammu and Kashmir BJP co-incharge, Ashish Sood said that the BJP is committed to spread ideas of Prime Minister NarendraModi from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and stated that Yoga can help to combat the prevailing Covid-19 crisis.
A party statement said that presiding over the Yoga Day function in Srinagar, Sood said that party leadership in Jammu and Kashmir is committed to spread the ideas of Modi to each and every corner of the country.
“Today we are celebrating the seventh International Day of Yoga in Srinagar while our workers and party cadre also celebrated the day in far-flung areas of the Valley,” he said.
Sood said performing Yoga can be a game changer in combating the prevailing covid19 crisis as it also comes under the respiratory diseases, it is very beneficial.
“Like the Prime Minister’s schemes regarding drinking water, building toilets which have been reached to ground level and similarly Yoga programmes will be conducted in each and every village of the country and our party is trying very hard to reach this initiative to everyone,” he said.
Sood described yoga as an invaluable gift which keeps both the body and mind healthy, and asked people to make it a part of their lives.
On the occasion, BJP’s General Secretary Sunil Setty extended greetings on International Yoga Day, said performing Yoga is the need of the hour and stated that Yoga belongs to everyone.
